A cyclist attempted to revive their 10-year-old rechargeable bike lights, which stopped working after only 5 minutes of use despite being fully charged. Suspecting a dead battery, they took the lights to a local makerspace to try and replace it. With limited electronics knowledge, they carefully disassembled the lights, cutting through the silicone casing and removing screws to access the circuit board, and are now poised to attempt the battery replacement, seeking a successful DIY repair project.
