Fireworks Research has introduced Ember-1, a new specialized model that delivers the same quality as Kimi K3 but with 40% fewer tokens, making it more efficient and cost-effective. Built on Kimi K3, Ember-1 was trained to cut unnecessary reasoning while preserving essential thinking, resulting in quality performance across various benchmarks and tests. Developed in response to user demand for lower-cost coding capabilities, Ember-1 marks the beginning of a series of specialized models by Fireworks, with the goal of providing developers with more efficient and affordable solutions, and is available today as part of the Fireworks Training platform.
