The PLC directory is a system that collects and distributes updates to AT Protocol accounts, including handles and data hosting information, with updates signed using cryptographic keys to ensure the directory server cannot tamper with the information. The organization has taken its first administrative steps towards independently operating the directory, which is designed to facilitate the management of account credentials across different platforms, such as Bluesky, mu.social, and eurosky.tech, allowing users to control their own account keys and data.
