A group of students took on a challenge to reverse engineer a pharmacy cross, a symbol commonly used in France to indicate a nearby pharmacy, after being inspired by a popular YouTube video by French YouTuber Sylvqin. The crosses, which can cost between 200 to 2000€, often end up on the e-commerce market when pharmacies close or retire, and the students were able to successfully reverse engineer one, a process that took them weeks, building on the interest sparked by Sylvqin's video two years prior, which explored the history and inner workings of these crosses.
